The Marine Diaries is on a mission to tell the stories of the ocean, giving a voice to the voiceless.

Our aim is to increase ocean literacy - an understanding of the ocean's influence on you and your influence on the ocean. To achieve this we run awareness campaigns on issues affecting our oceans, such as plastic pollution. We communicate ocean science through our blog and webinar series, and we develop educational materials for use in personal and professional life.

Explore our projects below. Hear from experts in our webinar series, learn more about the different marine ecosystems and their inhabitants, or find out about our commitment to ocean literacy.

Plastic Not Fantastic Campaign.png

The Plastic Not Fantastic campaign focussed on plastic pollution and how it affects the ocean in order to inspire collective behavioural change. The campaign covers the main sources of plastic pollution - fashion, food & drink, and health & beauty products. Check out the articles, top tips, and product reviews to start your journey to becoming plastic free.

Marine Ecosystems Diaries.png

The Marine Ecosystem Diaries explores 9 different marine ecosystems, from coral reefs to polar seas. With educational videos and downloadable posters, the project is part The Marine Diaries’ larger work to develop ocean literacy materials for NGOs, non-profits, and other institutions to aid the education of the public.
